Anyone ever use this stuff? I use Rotella T6 for everything other than my BMW, but this stuff was on clearance for $10/5qt. The Jeep takes 6 quarts, so it was too good to pass up.

I found this pretty convincing. I buy literally whatever is the cheapest now

I love the T6 but never seen this one. My subaru goes through lots of oil so having a good synthetic that comes cheap is essential. Thankfully it only needs 4 qts to change but I certainly use about 7-8 in total with added oil between changes.

I’ve grown accustomed to spending 7 dollars a quart. I’m too scared about the e90’s timing chain life, and lifter tick to go with anything that isn’t approved for my car.

I stick with the recommended oil for my later model BMW, because BMW, but am not too picky about the old ass pushrod V6 in the Jeep. I do spend money on “race oil” for my old motorcycles on account of the high zinc content and the high strung nature of the engines.

I don’t screw around with the oil on the bimmer for the same reason.

That’s an insane amount of oil consumption. How many miles do you get before you need to add a quart?

This stuff looks perfect for my new beater caddy that leaks a quart a week or two. Where did you find it for that price?

T6 is perfect for all German cars, even turbo BMWs.

Autozone had it on clearance.

I add oil every 1000 miles but it’s generally less than a quart. Measuring it out over time, I use about a quart per 1200-1500 miles. That is NORMAL usage for a brand new subaru. For a 13 year old turbo subaru with 175k that is actually rather good and better than average. You wouldnt get it, it’s a subaru thing!

Oh I absolutely agree that the ‘type’ of oil matters, just not the brand.

Yeah, I had to take a double take as I thought I was reading the per quart price at first. I got the last two jugs they had on the shelf.
